Welcome to Resistance in Belgium, the Resistance database 1940-1945 of the State Archives of Belgium. We take the protection of personal data very seriously and undertake to comply with the applicable legislation, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the law of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (Data Protection Law).
Nature of personal data published
The published data about the Resistance in Belgium contains historical and biographical information on individuals involved in the Belgian Resistance during the Second World War. These data originate from the archive fonds of the State Archives. We only publish information about people who:
- are deceased
or
- were born more than 100 years ago.
