The Resistance 1940–1945 database
Resistance in Belgium is the result of a pilot project run by CegeSoma/State Archives of Belgium. This platform enables research on thousands of people involved in resistance activities during the Second World War in Belgium or, in some cases, in neighbouring countries, notably France. It currently contains information on more than 42,000 individuals for whom a file related to the Intelligence and Action Services was produced by the State Security. This corresponds to about one fifth of all individuals who applied to be recognised as resistance members. New data will be added regularly.
